First stop was the Taoist Qingshui Zushi Temple. The shuttle bus departed from Terminal 2 as scheduled and the friendly and jocular tourist guide made the trip lively. The per hour charges are quite reasonable. We left our cabin/hand baggages in one of the electronically operated baggage boxes a few steps away from the Tourist Services Counter (there's another facility on the opposite side which is staffed). Shops abound (money changer, tour agents, restaurants, baggage service, etc.). Once we had gone through customs and immigration which was a breeze, we approached the Tourist Service Center counter at the main arrival hall. We opted for the morning tour scheduled from 0830 to 1230 We booked our slots online about a week in advance. En route to Manila, my family and I decided to take the late evening connection from TPE to allow us avail of this free government-sponsored half-day tour.
